Walks from Ghyll Pool: a walk to Hawkshead

This is a walk of contrasts. The first part, before Hawkshead, is through woodland on tracks and the return is across fields, which can be very muddy after prolonged rain. The wise walker will therefore be prepared for mud or save this walk for drier weather. There are wonderful views throughout.
