This is a superb walk: if someone had only one day to walk in the Lakes and wanted to see the best of it, this is the walk I would recommend to them. Loughrigg is the fell overlooking Neaum Crag. It is almost isolated from other hills, and from its flanks wonderful views stretch in every direction. There is hardly a step of this walk without a magnificent view to admire.
One word of warning: there must be more paths on Loughrigg than anywhere else in the Lake District and most of them don't appear on any map. It is therefore essential to take care with route finding.
